Senior Software Engineer
We're a protocol engineering firm founded by ex-MetaMask, Odos, and 0x engineers. We build smart contracts, backend APIs, payment routing, wallet infrastructure, and DeFi systems for funded teams and protocols. We need someone who can work across the full stack of Web3 infrastructure.
The Role
This isn't a ticket-queue job. You'll be working across the full depth of Web3 infrastructure — from smart contracts to the backend services and APIs that power them. The systems you build will route payments, manage wallets, handle stablecoin flows, and process real volume under production conditions.
You'll collaborate closely with our founding engineers on architecture decisions, code reviews, and system design. We work with a small number of high-quality clients at any given time, so every engagement gets full attention.
We care about the quality of the work, not where or when you do it. Fully remote, flexible hours, async-first communication. What matters is that the systems are reliable, the code is precise, and the infrastructure holds up under real-world conditions.
What You'll Work On
The work varies by engagement, but typical projects include building backend APIs and services for onchain products, designing payment routing and stablecoin infrastructure, implementing smart contract systems, building wallet and transaction management services, and integrating across chains and protocols. You'll move between Solidity, TypeScript, and whatever the problem demands.
Requirements
- —5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful exposure to Web3 or fintech infrastructure
- —Strong backend fundamentals — API design, distributed systems, databases, and infrastructure you've operated in production
- —Experience building systems that handle real money — payment routing, wallet infrastructure, stablecoin flows, exchange mechanics, or similar
- —Solid understanding of the EVM and Solidity, or a strong willingness to go deep — we write smart contracts but also build everything around them
- —Comfort with TypeScript/Node.js, Rust, or similar backend stacks for API and service development
- —A security-first mindset — you think about failure modes, edge cases, and adversarial conditions before they happen
- —Experience working autonomously in a remote, async environment
Nice to Have
- —Production Solidity experience — contracts deployed to mainnet that hold real value
- —Experience at a recognized protocol, exchange, or DeFi team
- —Familiarity with Foundry, Hardhat, or smart contract testing/fuzzing tooling
- —Experience with payment systems, stablecoin infrastructure, or fiat on/off ramps
- —Background in routing or aggregation logic — finding optimal paths across fragmented systems
- —Cross-chain infrastructure or bridge design experience
- —Familiarity with MEV, transaction ordering, or searcher strategies
